Hexagon Garage Lights Wholesale: How to Source 14-Hex LED Kits from a Factory

Importers and distributors buying hexagon garage lights often face the same problem. Two kits can look identical in photos but differ in size, wattage, parts count and certification. This guide covers what to check before you place a wholesale order and the questions to ask any factory.

BONTOP Lighting makes modular hexagon garage lighting in Zhongshan, China. Our brand, LUXBONTOP, supplies importers, distributors and project buyers with standard kits and OEM designs for garages, workshops, car wash and detailing shops, and showrooms.

Standard and Wide 14-Hex Garage Light Kits

A 14-hex kit links 14 hexagon cells into one LED ceiling grid. The wide version adds a framed border with longer tubes, so it covers more ceiling and gives more light. It suits two- to three-car garages, workshops, and car wash and detailing bays.

Need a different size or wattage, or a kit built to an existing drawing? Send it to us. We will check it against our modular parts and tell you clearly whether we can build it, and what will differ.

10 Questions to Ask a Hexagon Garage Light Supplier

1. Is this your own model, or a copy of another brand?

Many sellers list the same model numbers. Ask whether the supplier designed the kit or is building to another brand’s drawing. At BONTOP, we never claim another supplier’s model number as our own. If you send a reference design, we review it and quote under our own model.

2. Can I see photos, drawings and a datasheet?

Ask for real photos of the assembled kit and of the packed carton, a dimensioned layout drawing, and a datasheet for the exact model and lighting option you are quoting.

3. What is the full bill of materials (BOM)?

A hexagon LED ceiling grid is built from tubes and connectors, and the counts must match the layout. The BOM should list:

  • LED tube lengths and quantities (BONTOP uses 440 mm and 1175 mm tubes)
  • Connector types and quantities (V, Y, L, I and T)
  • Input power wires
  • Zip ties and mounting parts

Check every line of the BOM when the goods arrive. It also makes spare-part orders simple.

4. What are the real light and power specs?

BONTOP 14-hex garage lights use SMD2835 LEDs with CRI 80, AC85–265V input and an IP20 rating. Each kit comes in one of these lighting options:

  • 3000K warm white, for showrooms and home garages
  • 4000K neutral white, for workshops and general work areas
  • 6500K cool daylight, for car detailing and paint inspection
  • 3-color version, which switches between 3000K, 4000K and 6500K with a wall switch
  • RGB version, with color and mode control by remote or mobile app

Ask for the rated power, lumen output, power factor and LED lifetime of the exact kit and lighting option, not figures from a different layout.

5. Is it UL or ETL listed?

This is the most important question for US buyers. BONTOP’s current hexagon LED light kits are not UL or ETL listed. We say this up front so you can decide early. If your customers, sales channels or job sites require a listed fixture, factor that in before ordering. If a supplier claims a listing, ask for the listing number and check it in the UL or Intertek online directory.

6. Do you manufacture in-house or are you a trading company?

Ask which parts the factory makes itself (tubes, connectors, assembly, packing) and which it buys in. BONTOP Lighting was founded in 2016 and runs a 2,200 m² factory in Zhongshan. You are welcome to request a factory video call or visit.

7. What are the MOQ and sample terms?

BONTOP’s standard MOQ starts at 10 kits. Ask for sample cost, sample lead time and whether the sample fee is credited against your first order.

8. Can you do OEM private-label packaging?

Yes. We support OEM and ODM orders, including your logo, labels and carton design.

9. What are the carton size, weight and container loading?

Ask for carton dimensions, gross weight per kit, and how many kits fit in a 20ft and 40ft container. These figures decide your landed cost per kit.

10. What are the lead time, payment terms and warranty?

Confirm production lead time, payment terms, and how replacement parts are handled. BONTOP’s standard warranty is two years, subject to the agreed order terms. We supply replacement tubes and connectors for supported systems.

Hexagon Garage Lights in Car Wash and Detailing Shops

Many of our customers install hexagon garage lights in car wash and detailing shops. The bright, even light shows swirl marks, water spots and paint defects clearly, and the hexagon reflections on the car body give the shop a premium look. The kits are mounted on the ceiling, clear of direct water spray.

Color LED Hexagon Garage Lights (RGB)

For home garages, man caves, game rooms and car showrooms, an RGB hexagon light kit adds color to the ceiling grid. Both the standard and wide 14-hex kits are available in RGB, controlled by a handheld remote or a mobile app, so users can change colors and lighting modes without rewiring.

For distributors, an RGB version sits alongside white kits in the same product line. It uses the same modular layout, so it is easy to offer customers both a work-light option and a feature-light option.

FAQ

Can BONTOP match another brand’s hexagon garage light?

We can review the size, power, drawing and BOM, then confirm whether we can build an equivalent kit under our own model.

Are BONTOP hexagon garage lights UL or ETL listed?

No. Our current kits are not UL or ETL listed. Please check what your market and sales channels require.

What color options are available for hexagon garage lights?

Both 14-hex kits come in 3000K, 4000K or 6500K, a 3-color version that switches between all three with a wall switch, or an RGB version.

How is the RGB hexagon garage light controlled?

The RGB version can be controlled by remote or by mobile app, for color changes and lighting modes.

Can hexagon garage lights be used in a car wash?

Many of our customers install hexagon garage lights in car wash and detailing shops. The kits are mounted on the ceiling, away from direct water spray. Please note our current kits are rated IP20, so keep them out of the direct path of pressure washers and spray. For projects that need a higher IP rating, contact us to discuss options.

Can we buy replacement tubes and connectors?

Yes, for supported systems. Send the original kit details so we can confirm which parts fit.
